Sunday Fun: Mood Ring

Remember the mood ring? Conventional wisdom says that violet blue means happy, romantic, blue is calm or relaxed, yellow/amber means you are tense or excited, and brown/gray means you are nervous or anxious.

You can pick up a replacement today.

Toy Sunday: Sit and Spin

The sit and spin was the best way to get sick on a Sunday afternoon. You sit and then you spin, and spin, and spin and then fall over.

Toy Sunday: Star Wars Coin-Op game

One of the best stand up video game units ever made. The Star Wars game was a vector (line) drawn game. The unit came in 2 flavors. The traditional stand up and the more emersive version where you sit in an enclosure with speakers around you.

Finding one of these games with working controllers can be difficult. In their years of service they took some pounding while avoiding the AT-ATs.

Toy Sunday: Garbage Pail Kids Stickers

Gross and offensive trading cards for kids that became a big hit in the mid 80’s. I personally preferred the Wacky Pack stickers, but these were generally grosser.

Toy Sunday: Creepy Crawlers

Creepy Crawlers was voted by Radar magazine as one of the top 10 most dangerous toys.

Easy to burn yourself, but so much fun. I remember the edible ones. Once the special sauce was gone however it would just clutter up your room with no way to play with it.

Toy Sunday: Space Invaders

Damn the torpedoes, fire, fire fire. Do you blast through your barrier or shoot around the sides.

Remember dropping lots of quarters in the standup version and wasting tons of time in the home version? Space invaders was the shit.
