Lately I have begun drinking vitamin water. I don't know if these water products, namely from Glaceau (Vitamin Water) and Pepsico (Life Water) are much better for you than a soda but I think they are better for me and that has got to beworth something.
Vitaminwater consists of distilled water, fructose (sugar), sweetener (more sugar), electrolytes, natural flavors (more sugar) and vitamins, including Vitamin C, B3, B5, B6, B12, and E. Other ingredients are added according to the flavor and intended purpose of the drink.
I've tried a lot of the flavors of the Vitamin Water and do have some preferences.
It's yellow, and it's bright shiny color has B vitamins in it, plus guarana, a substance I don't know what it does.
This purple fruit punch stuff also has B vitamins in it but I think the potassium is what makes you have the liquid #2's, so if you are constipated it might be the way to go.
Strawberry Kiwi, a nice pick me up flavor.
Unremarkable Raspberry Apple flavor, but I have one when I get sick, just in case.
Dragonfruit. Supposedly it gives you more strength. I have'nt been able to lift any cars lately.
This lemonade is one of the more tasty of the water products.
A bit too orangey for me. This one is cran-grapefruit.
All of these things have a lot of sugar in them. If you just look at the bottle it doesn't look like that much but being they are 2 1/2 servings (they are really about 1 1/2 servings) the sugar content looks like it is minimized.
This all harkens back to the old V-8 days where, if you believe the marketing, it contains all the vegetables you need for a day. This is until you figure out it has 3x the salt you should be having a day.
